Robert has always had a need to create; an inherent curiosity to understand how materials come together to make beautiful, functional, detailed and finely crafted objects and spaces. He uses his hands to understand his surroundings, to find the potential of materials, and to design, draw and build elegant and concise art, products and furniture.

His fascination drove him to Architecture, and he graduated from Mississippi State University in 2012. He began his career at a small, award-winning firm specializing in historic renovations and rehabilitations. After two years developing a sensitivity to historic details and proportion, Robert and his wife packed their bags to become Austinites and with great excitement he joined Cuppett Kilpatrick Architects in April 2014.  He became a licensed architect in 2017.

After hours, Robert and his wife enjoy taking their two kids around town, going to the Green Belt and Zilker park and attending as many exciting Austin events as possible. He never stops designing and continues to create furniture and other pieces with his growing collection of tools.
